Abdominoplasty: Case 41
Description
This 39-year-old patient came to Dr. Brown after multiple pregnancies with concerns about the appearance of her abdomen. Despite her efforts, she was extremely bothered by the roundness of her abdomen, excess skin, and overall laxity. During her consultation, Dr. Brown identified significant rectus diastasis, a separation of the abdominal muscles that was contributing to the protruding appearance of her abdomen. Dr. Brown explained that while exercise can strengthen the core, significant rectus diastasis may require surgical repair to restore the abdominal wall. He recommended a lipoabdominoplasty with VASER liposuction and rectus diastasis repair to address the excess skin, improve abdominal contour, and tighten the underlying abdominal wall.
